Awh, I’m sorry. I know all of this is hard……and scary. In a perfect world, he would just show up, with some of that stuff that you so badly need, all out of the goodness of his heart. No really good guy friends that feel that way, who would be willing to donate??

I hope the cysts go away. I know that birth control shrinks them down, and then, before long, they’re gone. You don’t need to stay on them very long – if that’s any consolation.

I’m impressed that you sent off the letter. I usually just assume that most magazines are designed to subjugate women! (Wow… can you tell I am a child of the 70s?)

I’m so sorry about the cyst and the crying. As someone who has been on BCP (see! I’m getting up with the acronyms!) on and off many times, I can assure you that once you go off them, everything goes back to the way it was pretty quickly.

BTW, after your story, I’m not imagining you on the F train, tears coursing down your face as you hold out a plastic cup, begging for sperm…

Having a cyst on one’s ovaries is a pretty good reason to cry on the train. I’m sorry.

Waiting sucks, but it sounds like the the BCPs may help.

Ohm, I have SO BEEN THERE. It sucks!!!!! I am so sorry about your trip to the R.E.

Wanna read my post about being told I had a cyst and had to go on BCPs? It starts me with me falling on the ice and landing on my butt!

BCPs aren’t the end of the world, although I didn’t believe that at the time as my Feb. 2007 posts attest to. I took them for 3 wks while the cyst went away and then I just went off them and started my next cycle. I wasn’t happy about being forced to take a break, but the break wasn’t a whole month so it wasn’t as much a delay as I thought it would be.

I actually think taking the BCPs before I did injectables may have helped my response to them.

But that doesn’t make your visit today any less disappointing or those magazine articles any less obnoxious.

ooooooh I am so sorry.

FWIW, Co had a birth control cycle, and that was right before she got knocked up with Flipper. (I think there might have been some crying on the train involved.)

Birth control can actually help you make more eggs when you try again. I think it’s regularly used for IVF.
